Standard Terms & Conditions
- A signed in-house Order Form confirming the aerial equipment requirements i.e. (aerial mounts, helicopter, pilot, technician etc.) must be faxed or e-mailed to our offices, prior to the requirement. Please ensure that your Order number and job name are stated on the order.
- A 50% advance deposit (based on the aerial filming quotation) would be required prior to commencement of the aerials, with the balance payable on presentation of the final invoice.
- Interest of 18% per annum will be charged on overdue balances after 30days from date of statement.
- 14% VAT applies to ALL aerial film shoots conducted within South Africa. Over-border aerials are VAT zero-rated.
- There is no guarantee that the requested aerial filming pilot will be available for the aerials, as the time frame of the job would determine that pilot's availability for that week.
- All quotes are subject to crew, aircraft / helicopter and aerial mount availability.
- Please Note: In peak season, helicopter demand exceeds supply. Please confirm your aerial filming dates ASAP and co-ordinate the aerial filming times in order that the helicopter may be released to accommodate work elsewhere.
- Pencil bookings (holding only) and confirmations are categorized for the selection of specialist pilot, type of aircraft / helicopter and aerial mount. A pencil booking does not constitute a confirmation on personnel and equipment.
- The aerial filming crew's return airfares to / from Cape Town, accommodation, meals, per diems and transportation on overnight stays would need to be arranged by Production and would be for your account.
- The return road or airfreight shipment costs on the aerial camera mounts to / from Cape Town would be for your account.
- Airborne Camera Experts reserves the right to utilize an alternative pilot in the event of unavailability or an alternative helicopter due to maintenance, mechanical failure and / or any other unforeseen reasons.
- Airborne Camera Experts will not be held responsible for any delays or costs incurred which are caused by unforeseen mechanical failure on the aircraft / helicopter, camera or aerial camera mount.
- The company assumes no responsibility, implied, in fact or in law, nor does it guarantee, warrant or make any representation for the non-performance of the equipment rented.
- Additional costs incurred to divert the helicopter to an alternate airfield due to bad weather or circumstances that may affect the safety of the pilot, production crew and / or passengers, will be for your account.
- A minimum utilization of 3x hours on the aircraft / helicopter when grounded for aerial camera mount rigging purposes and when on location for the full day.
- A full cancellation fee is payable on the filming crew, aerial mount + equipment and 2 hours on the aircraft / helicopter for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.
- All permits & permissions from the Cape Film Commission, Disaster Management, SA National Parks Board, SA Civil Aviation Authority, Peninsula Permits (Environmental Control Officers: ECO) and other authorities to be in place prior to departure of the helicopter. Individual applications take on average 5 x working days to process.
- Quotations are valid for 30 days from date of issue and are subject to change.
